Emergency and Critical Care Veterinarian
Puget Sound Veterinary Specialists invites you to join us in reimagining Emergency and Specialty Care. We are currently seeking emergency clinicians that find satisfaction in a collaborative, learning and teaching environment. PSVS will be opening a brand new facility (anticipated this fall) that is thoughtfully outfitted with the necessary tools and space to practice the highest standard of care. You will work alongside a talented team of highly trained support staff, specialists, and emergency clinicians to build a practice that celebrates the important work we do.
We understand that to bring your best to your work, you need the resources to learn and time to recharge. Our criticalist will work closely with you to further your career development, from medical knowledge to technical skills to professional skills. Specialists in Internal Medicine, Surgery, Ophthalmology, Dentistry, Neurology and Critical Care are here to collaborate on cases and share their expertise. Each morning our specialists and ECC doctors come together for ICU rounds to discuss inpatient care and plan the day. You will have ample opportunity for formal didactic learning through our regularly schedule specialist continuing education lectures as well as informal mentorship and case consultations. Our doctors are well compensated with an excellent comprehensive benefits package.
Your time off is yours alone. We offer protected, paid vacation time, with no negative accrual and no make-up shift requirements. We recognize that your schedule has a huge impact on your life outside of work. Our doctors work humane shifts with careful attention to transitions between shift times. If you need a non-traditional or part-time schedule, please reach out to explore the possibilities.
About Us:
Puget Sound Veterinary Specialists is a new Emergency and Specialty hospital in the heart of the beautiful Pacific Northwest. We are a progressive and inclusive practice, started with the vision of breaking the mold of veterinary medicine that is rife with burnout and compassion fatigue. Our core values of Respect, Integrity, Compassion, and Humility with the over-arching “Do The Right Thing” are the backbone and framework of how we practice medicine, care for ourselves, each other, our patients and their families.
We prioritize quality of life and work-life balance to provide time to enjoy everything the beautiful PNW has to offer. We take pride in our horizontal team structure. Our technical and support staff are highly valued and cherished as critical members of the team, this is evident in our shared bonus structure that is provided to all support staff as the hospital grows. In addition to exemplary specialty and emergency medicine, we maintain a collaborative and collegial working environment that supports continued growth and learning in our hospital at all levels.
