At Puget Sound Veterinary Specialty & Emergency (PSVSE), we understand how overwhelming a cancer diagnosis can feel. That’s why our hospital now offers comprehensive Oncology services, led by Dr. Megan Breit, DVM, MS, DACVIM (Oncology) of Northwest Veterinary Oncology Services (NWVOS). Together, we’re making specialized cancer care more accessible to families and referring veterinarians throughout Gig Harbor, Tacoma, and the greater South Sound region.

megan breit, dvm, ms, dacvim (oncology)

Dr. Megan Breit is a board-certified veterinary oncologist and the founder of Northwest Veterinary Oncology Services (NWVOS). She is passionate about supporting pets and families through every stage of cancer care, focusing on quality of life, compassionate guidance, and treatment plans that fit each pet and family’s needs. Her philosophy is rooted in honesty and integrity, ensuring families always feel supported and informed as they navigate complex decisions.

Dr. Breit grew up in the Pacific Northwest. She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience at Washington State University. She went on to complete internships in small animal medicine and oncology before completing a residency in medical oncology and a Master of Science degree at The Ohio State University, where her research explored a novel therapy for canine melanoma. She is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (Oncology).
